A new cover for a motivational speaker

She wanted this cover to look similar to Black is the new Orange. It's a picture of the author, who now speaks to groups about Prison life and how to stay out of it.

Civil War History

This is the cover of a new book on the cruelty and brutality of the Civil War prison camps. This cover emphasizes the stark reality, lack of water and inhumane conditions those soldiers endured.

NTS Branding

It's official this week as we celebrate the Inauguration of the 10th President of Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Dr. Carla Sunberg. We began the process of rebranding NTS back in the spring and through an extensive process, the Board and Leaders of NTS agreed on this new mark to lead them into the future. We will now begin to develop a line of materials to support this new brand and attract the attention of future students of this graduate school. As materials are developed, you will see them here!

Updated covers for some great study guides

These are updated book covers for books that have been popular and successful among Athletes and Coaches all across the US. As part of FCA, these books will be used to strengthen and prepare coaches and athletes alike, to better prepare them for the "game."

Chef Ami

This new business in South Florida will deliver fresh ingredients to your door along with very simple instructions for preparing it. It's a great new concept for healthy eating for those that just don't want to think about planning fresh, healthy meals every night. They came to me to create a newspaper insert to get the word out cost effectively in their market.

The Bandimere Story

I was selected to design the cover for the book, Living it Loud, the story of Bandimere Speedway and it's owners.

NTS has chosen a new brand mark.

In the coming weeks, I'll begin posting some work we have started for NTS. Just this week a new brand mark was chosen and I am starting to plan for its implementation on a variety of pieces. The first thing we will create are banners to be flown at the inauguration of the 10th President. Festivities will take place the first week of October, 2014. After that event, I will post some visuals here, so stay tuned!

Over the next few months, a variety of new pieces will be developed, including a letterhead package, a new website, a variety of brochures for the different class offerings and many other support pieces to promote the new brand.

Providence Church

I was asked to develop a new brand mark for a church plant in Omaha, NE. This was the chosen design along with a business card they can hand out on the street, giving a little information about the church.

Dan Meers, KC Wolf

Those in Kansas City have heard all about it already, but Dan Meers has been the Wolf mascot for the Kansas City Chiefs for 25 years. A year ago he fell 75' into the stands while practicing a bungee jump for the season opener the next night. He about lost his life, but spent months in recovery and was back the next season for the opening game in costume. I got to design his book cover and 24 page photo section for his new book.

Wild Currant Farm in South Texas

This new brand will help promote this private farm and their products. Many sweet treats are made from currants and I will be doing all the packaging for them in the coming months.

More Branding Development...

I've been working on a couple projects the last few days. Both in the "health food" camp.
The first one is a brand development for a grain-free diet system. I'm showing 3 variations I've shown them....  and the other project is a product brand for fresh salsa by a restauranteur on the east coast.

logos, logos, logos...

I've been cranking out logos for the last couple weeks. These are the various options I send to the clients to pick from. They almost ALWAYS pick one of the 3-4 options I give them based on a series of questions I ask at the beginning of the process.

I always want to know as much about the business or product as possible. I also like to know if it's going to be a fresh new brand or if we are doing a brand refresh based on a previous known image that has been successful. Then comes color options and style preferences. Some like a retro look, while others prefer a clean corporate mark. As you can tell on these, they all liked a blue color scheme. But I like to toss in another option occasionally that isn't in their preferred color, and sometimes they pick it!

CD Packaging

I recently had the opportunity to work up a design for a producer in Tampa, Florida.
They are combining a few of the favorite tracks into a limited edition collection and asked me to give it a brand, so this is what we came up with....
